So, last fall Chance had a pretty big obsession about seeds and growing things and what not. He would beg me every time he ate an apple if we could plant the seeds and see if something would grow. I tried to explain that those kinds of seeds don't grow but he wasn't going for it. So, after about the 10th time of him asking me I say ok let's go plant our apple seeds and see what happens. So, not forgetting about it the next day, Chance says let's go check on our apple seeds. When we go out to check on them, a huge tumbleweed thing must have blown and landed right about the place we had planted the seeds. Chance has very proud and didn't hesitate to say I told you so, I knew they would grow. Well, I didn't have the heart to tell him it wasn't an apple tree.
So, when Santa had dropped off a Scooby Doo and Shaggy chia pet this year, I was pretty excited and knew the kids would be excited about witnessing real seeds growing into real plants. They have enjoyed watering them every day and watching them grow. The chia pets are very fool proof and are kinda fun, a little creepy, but still kinda fun. This is the closet thing we'll be getting to real pets anytime soon...

awww chance is so cute! Those chia pets are pretty cool...they def. don't look as gross as the last time we saw them! And I bet Chance and Dodger really do love them!
lol. that is funny.
Those are my kind of pets!
Those would be hillarious white elephant gifts. I'll have to look into that for next year's x-mas parties!
