My friend
Cammie just made a post on her blog about doing things she said she would never ever do. Well, that is what has inspired this post. Chris sold his truck last week and so we've been looking for something different. I've said for a long time I would never ever be a minivan Mom. It's not so much the van as I just did not want to be put in the category as the typical Utah Mormon Minivan Mom. Well, guess what? After a looooooooong drive to Logan yesterday and a major major meltdown by someone in our family and a loooooooooong drive back we brought home our very first minivan. Turning 30 and buying our first minivan in the same month...Wow! Talk about depressing! Being practical won over being hip this time! Never say never!!!

Tami's husband Ted sent this article over to make us feel better about the whole situation...
How I Drive a Minivan … and Live With MyselfThanks Ted! The article did help out a little!
I do know some very cool Mom's that drive minivans so I know it will eventually be o.k.!

Ha! We're in that same 'don't want a minivan' group, but the subject has come up some lately. With 3 kids already, and a possibility of a 4th in the next couple of years, it will be hard not to get one. Some of them are pretty decked out though. I told Jess we'd have to paint ours to look like the A-Team van though. Then it would be okay for me to be seen in it. (c:
Oh Audrey! I can't believe you caved in to the Mormon Minivan Pressure! Just kidding. Come and pick me up in it and we can cruise Bangerter Hwy!
Chris should drive the minivan since it's meant to replace "his truck.":)

Okay so was it better when we drove it in high school? lol.jk. I had a mid life crisis last year and didn't want my mini van anymore. After much consideration and a whole lot of medication(kidding guys) and all the crap we take with us everywhere we go, it's a must in our household. My automatic doors are awesome when picking and dropping off the kids and when I go to the grocery store etc...Now the difference between us is that you started out with the cool car and went to the mini van, I however am still dreaming of the day in my lincoln navigator, or my infiniti QX that I can blare my black man's music out of and not look so conspicuous. lol. Well I guess I will stop hogging your comment space, see ya later!
Amy's hilarious! Alright I'm with you! I had a dumb sienna for about 3 years and although I hate to admit it, I loved that car! It was the best!
Yes the inevitable Mormon mini van, there will come a day when we all must cave (don't worry my day is coming soon).=)
Well I don't think I will ever cave on that one - but I can see why they would be great for kids. Abram will surely be dissappointed the truck has been sold. Until we got to know you, we simply knew your house was the one with the "freakin' awesome truck" that my husband drooled over. I think he was mostly jealous because it was lifted with big wheels and such and Abes is pretty standard because his wife is such a tight wad!!!
vans rock!
I know the feeling! I went through it when Ted talked me into buying our odyssey when we only had one child who was only 3 1/2 months old!!! It is very practical and I don't want to get rid of it for a long time.
The sacrifices we make as moms right? LOL..again....welcome to the club!
You haven't posted for a while...are you depressed over the mini van mom thing?!
