Friday night Chris left to go exploring and scope out the place that he will be hunting in a few weeks. So, the boys and I decided to have a camp out of our own. They were so excited. They loved reading books by their little bug lantern. They finally were able to lay down. But, Chance was really excited and Dodger kept telling him to shhhhh...and would say Chance go night night! So, I decided to lay Dodger in his crib so he could get some peace and quiet. Then about 30 minutes later Chance comes wandering in my room saying...Mom I'm just trying so hard but I don't think I know how to sleep in a tent! So, I asked him if he wanted to lay in his own bed and he said ya, maybe I'll try and sleep in the tent another night. So, they both ended up sleeping in their own beds but they sure had Fun on their "camp out".

Saturday was kind of a hang out day. We waited for Chris to get home and then we went out to eat at Red Robin. Which wasn't the best experience. The service was horrible and the food was hairy and cold. Too bad because I usually like Red Robin, but Chris is not stepping foot in there again or at least the one we went to. But, it turns out we are not alone in our complaints. Everyone who has gone to that one has had a bad experience. Anyways, that night was card club/girl's night. It was so much FUN! It was so nice to hang with the girls and no kids for a few hours. Thanks Tami for putting it all together. In fact I'm stealing this pic from her blog to show all the fun cards from the night.

Sunday...well, that's always the most stressful day of the week at our house, for various reasons. But, it turned out to be a nice day after our traditional Sunday drive. The leaves are starting to change and it was just amazingly beautiful. The boys wanted to collect all the colors of leaves.

You should've titled this post, "Happy Fall Y'all"!! Saturday night was so fun, I'm glad we could all get together. I loved your card, I don't think I will ever be able to part with it. In fact, I've been trying to incorporate "Happy fall y'all" into my everyday conversation, but I don't think it has the same effect if you've never lived or even been to the south!
Sorry, one more. I just have to say, that's my kind of camping! Your boys are so cute.
I LOVE the camp out! The dialogue just made me laugh, all of it! It reminds me of my house. I especially like that Chance said "I don't think I know how to sleep in a tent!" LOL! Cute!
AND Card Club...I won't ever be able to out do you! You have so many cute ideas! I already used your card, and a few others. I think we have a good group.
Indoor camping???? Sign me up!!!
I already used your cute card, it was the perfect one to send to my sister with the package I put together for her. Good times Saturday! Love your blog...Jake was just asking me to build a tent and make hot choclate.. but I am not feeling like a fun mom today...so I told him to wait until it snows. HOPEFULLY that should give me at least a month. Maybe two if we are lucky.
Love it! Your boys are too cute! I'm so proud to say I'm related!
What a fun weekend!!! I love what kids come up with...One of my favorite parts of being a mom!!!
Those cards are so cute....I think a card club is better that a page club for sure!! I haven't scrap booked forever!!!
Oh my gosh! those cards are so cute! I saw a lot of stuff I have here so I can try to copy them. You should become a stampin' up demonstrator LOL!
Your such a good MOM! I don't know that I would have thought of that. We didn't end up having that get together. I guess everyone balled out. When I found out a new time I will let you know.
